goes to show how stupid animals can be. the two of them probably expended more calories collectively than what the potential meal was worth.
True.
But the skills of hunting are needed to survive and if you don't hone the hunting skills you will fall away into oblivion in the wild.
Question is. Were those calories worth it for training the hunt? Time will tell when the next hunt comes and maybe they will work together better ...
