Genuinely pissed off of how much the internet fucking breaks every time I try to switch back to a Firefox browser feeling like I'm pigeonholed into using some sort of chrome fork.

Be Brave(browser)
I guess saying "the internet" sounds kind of stupid but I don't know why but Firefox won't render images on certain sites properly internet radio stations break I can't access entire sites all of a sudden web pages break consistently when using Firefox.
Its annoying. Especially when I'm building a site, I do cross compatibility testing on multiple different browsers to make sure it doesn't matter who's accessing my site from what browser.
most people build for chrome these days.
Firefox loses market share every day and companies are cheap, so I'm bracing for curl, or paying for a service to render sites for me. Whatever will allow me to avoid Chromium.
That said, well probably be forced to use mobile apps before it even gets to a Chrome only web. There are so few big-tech, and finance, websites that work without an app anymore in my experience. And I don't use a smartphone so I'm SOL most of the time.
yeah, mozilla is a tire fire and chromium is mostly shitty, the entire web platform for apps is a hellscape
it is time for real native GUI libraries to come back and since you like C i recommend imgui - it's pretty sweet now and i've worked with libraries based on this for Go and the experience is interesting and pleasant... just... you really need to make your code use atomic queues to load new data into the rendering pipelines and don't be silly and put logic in there!

I wish there was an existing alternative that didn't suck, same with Android
>i recommend imgui
Saved! Thank you that looks pretty awesome, and it's actively maintained
not going to happen. unfortunately.
unless there is a javascript vm on top of it.
Yeah but once you use Firefox for a while you just get the Stockholm syndrome then you don't mind.
I'm only half kidding.
Glad I'm not the only one raising my voice on this. Next steps
- Disable HTML canvas fingerprinting (all captia and cloudflare protected sites break)
- Use VPN IPS that are banned by cloudflare
- Disguise your language and user agent
- Switch to librewolf or other firefox forks
- Avoid using Google search and creepy alternatives
- Block google.com domains
Follow me for more privacy steps that are only privacy steps because they block off over 50% of the internet!
This among others are all (mostly) privacy features disabled by the latest versions of Brave since sometime earlier this year, as they claimed you were less protected with these features enabled rather than just letting the site fingerprint you.
That said, don't forget about https://fingerprint.com/ many if nost most websites are using this product or other derived products. They "claim" that regardless of what you do to protect yourself they still have the ability to generate a unique fingerprint, and their word is enough to make me paranoid
