Apple knows what they’re doing. I’m not worried
it works under fiat standard marketing
I've been thinking more about the iHeadset. On principle I won't buy it because I've vowed to move out of the Apple closed source gulag and only use foss as much as it practical.
However, I do think it's a really cool interesting device and once again shows what a quality company Apple is and how smart Tim Cook is.
There was no mention of "metaverse" in Apple's announcement. It's positioned as AR not VR. Apple recognize that we don't want to be disassociated from the real world. We want to live in the real world and share it with real people around us but as far as they can add value / augment that experience with their technology that is where they focus on creating products and experiences and adding value.
I think it shows Apple are a company consisting of people who understand people. The likes of Facebook are led by a robot and consist I suppose primarily of predatory people who see other people as targets for exploration. That works with Facebook but when they tried to branch out from that they fell on their face because they don't understand what people really want.
Yea, this is Apple’s go to market strategy. Tesla copied this as well: Roadster > Model S > Model 3.
