Look at my follows. I find them all pretty interesting. It might help to tell us what you're into, though. Also, try searching for your interests. You'll probably find some cool people that way.
Follow people who seem active and interesting, (others gave options for how to find them) follow enough people that your personal feed actually gets enough content to be fun.
I had the issue with not following enough active people, so I turned to the global feel. I scroll until I see something fun to comment on. This is how I'm making connections. 🙂

Welcome. Can steal from other people's follow lists. I find hashtags useful for finding people with the same interests. Which client are you using? Some clients have a "trending posts". The biggest thing is just follow some people and then you should start seeing posts from their follows as they re-note things.
