On Nostr you can't you can request to remove it witch will hide it for you and your followers that allowed u to request to delete it but it up to the relays you use if they do remove it or not

Only some clients allow you to do this. Even then not all relays will honor your request for deletion.
Some apps allow you to edit and delete. But it's not implemented in all apps, because it's hard to implement across all of Nostr since it's decentralized. We like to joke and say there is no edit and no delete. You can do it, but only a small fraction of people will see the edit, because only one client supports edits, and delete only works 99% of the time, because you can't force delete things from people's local apps. Welcome.
I use nostr:npub1pu3vqm4vzqpxsnhuc684dp2qaq6z69sf65yte4p39spcucv5lzmqswtfch to delete notes with crappy enough typos. It’s on iOS and it works. It also has alerts that work for when I’m in an actual conversation and don’t want to leave someone hangin. I stay logged in on that one and on nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg which I use mainly.
With that I’ll say, nostr isn’t always polished like X or TikTok or Instagram, as you are accustomed. But I still find it better. It’s built by devs with a passion for what social media should be, and not just gathering eyeballs for shareholders and advertisers. It’ll get better. And worse, but mainly better.

Select your post and click on the three dots, select edit or delete your post
bear in mind that some clients do not support editing and therefore won't show any editions, most of them support deletions. Any good client will support both.
Choosing the right clienf from the start matters, some clients are known for censoring (the irony)
I don't feel I could ever intentionally delete a post. Something with the relays. Makes my drunk notes all the more embarrassing 😅
As many mentioned is deleting a matter of requesting relays to delete your post, so no guarentees there (but frankly it will probably work).
As for the edits. There are different types of 'events'(what we call a note/post) called 'kinds'. There are simple tekst notes, long-form posts, picture posts, cooking recipes, agenda items, profile information, your follow list, chess-matches, etc. etc.
What you are currently using is kind 1, its the most basic of the basic tekst note. The idea is that those are not editable, this is because edits are technically complicated, and we want to keep kind 1 superduper simple. Now because nobody is actually in controll, there is an app that allows you to edit them, but all the other apps will ignore it; you are better off ignoring that feature.
Other types of notes, such as the long-form one, you can edit and that is explicitly part of the specification.
Every 'kind' had its use, and kind 1 is the univerally understood note for simpel messages. Dont fuzz too much you cant edit those. Want to write a longer more involved post, that has a title, headers etc. and the ability to edit? Try an app like yakihonne, it will allow you to make such 'events'.
