Did you read Asimov's "The Foundation"?

It's the best analogy ever with Bitcoin, but I don't want to spoiler. Besides that, it received the Hugo price to best Sci-Fi book ever (not of a specific year) for a reason

that's a series, right? maybe I'm mixing it up with something

Asimov started writting The Foundation in his 20s and started to be published by chapters in a magazine in the early 50s. Its a trilogy, then in the 80s he wrote 2 precuels and 2 sequels. The books are kinda short.

Being prized with the "Best all time Sci Fi" it was never made to TV for a reason. Then a few years ago Apple did a horrendous ultra woke tried, that I'm so glad Asimov was not in this world to see it.

THE POINT - You got your the book you are looking for, don't look anymore.

City of Thieves

fkn incredible book

Dank book

You’d probably like the The Kingkiller Chronicle by Patrick Rothfuss.

Books 1&2 were pretty good but the last of the trilogy has been delayed for over a decade so maybe a prudent warning there for expectation management…

someone else recommended that too

got me a sample

I said the same for non sci-fi fiction that is a great one

Another probably not mentioned because the movie / shows were more kiddish but is a good read is the northern lights trilogy starting with "golden compas" if you kids are a little older you could read it to them as well. Big books though. Love the soul is outside of your body in the other dimension.

The creature from Jekyll island or

Turtles all the way down if you are looking for anything in the educational realm. I just finished the latter. Definitely a must read before having kids

Recently finished re-reading the Stormlight Archive in prep for the next one out soon.

Just started the Shogun books based on nostr:nprofile1qqs94rjcrut2qyhzf54xgq2j44tzqkxtqe0pmu5wjp7ph75zc9gv3wsprpmhxue69uhkv6tvw3jhytnwdaehgu3wwa5kuef08v23lj recommendation.

I had all my kids read this book to better understand the power of human perseverance. How no matter how bad things might seem at the moment, there can still be great days ahead. The story of Louie Zaperini is mesmerizing and Laura’s writing is captivating. Highly recommend.

Check out the Farseer Trilogy, Murderbot Diaries, Slow Burn and Freedom's Fire.

Southern Reach trilogy 👌🏼

Hyperion is a great read, there is a sequel to continue it.

Want another good sci-fi try

"A Fire Upon the Deep" neat hive mind aliens

"Lord of Light" - great book a film was in the works but the CIA took it over to use as cover during the famous Iranian hostage crises, funny that a movie was made about that lol.

Want a good non sci-fi fiction go no further than kingkiller chronicles 1st book in the trilogy is

"The Name of the Wind"

Last I checked 3rd and final book hasn't been completed and author is taking his sweet time ugh!

That sucker is being hoarding the last book for the last 10 years and said it was finished 8 years ago and only needed to check grammar and stuff. 😂

At this point I really doubt it will ever come out, maybe post mortem. By the way the genre I would say is Fantasy

The Golden Age trilogy is great. It helps if you’ve read Atlas Shrugged before

Theft of Swords

Lies of Locke Lamora

Shogun

And don’t forget, there are 6 books in the Red Rising series (I originally thought there were only 3). Book 4 is Iron Gold
