Or should we get rid of the "nostr:" prefix requirement and then no one will ever be able to refer to an nevent code ever again without it necessarily becoming an embed in the future?

Could be my user error, I did copy the note ID by itself to share, however it does render properly on Nostur app. I’m no dev 🫡

Well, yes. I think if Nostur is rendering it like that then it should assume that your intention was to create an embed and prepend the "nostr:" on your behalf.

when quote posting it adds the “nostr:” but when manually pasting it does not. I think I will add it when tapping “Copy ID” and maybe remove the rendering from non-“nostr:” to avoid confusion
