Are there any Nostr clients that don't have such a present bias? I'd like to see older posts that have been popular and continue to get engagement as that's probably the most evergreen content.

Wisdom > hot takes.

curate your follows for best signal imho jimmy

Discoverability? Nah, devs don’t care about that round these parts!

are we on Nostr for wisdom?

OK. If it won't matter in five years; it doesn't matter now. So don't worry about it.

worry is a waste of mind

wiz dumb

Would like to be able to set my own weights. Top engagement 8:10. Most recent 7:10. Top posters I engage with 6:10. Something like that.

Primal has a trending timeline

Some may have something. But the "custom algo" and "user feed filtering" is still not a standard.

I'm not going to bitch about free nostr clients too much. Much respect to the devs doing the work (often for free).

But I had hopes this will a normal thing. Personal algos that you can tweak, quick (and detailed) filters for the feed, multiple user defined feeds (either as "preset drop-down filters/algos" or tabs).

Hope the major evolution of nostr clients is just around the corner.

Often the hot takes age well to be evergreen

you are talking about curation

usually that requires a human

Probably need a nice DVM for this. On a separate note, the 1 note per follow DVM is really nice.

Based on how long it takes follower counts and post reactions to populate, it seems like this will be a bit of a challenge.

I want a client that just replays last week, showing me posts as they came 7 days ago
