If I delete Damus, what do I need to do to recover my account?
A bit too addicted lately.

Your private key
You need to backup your private key. I don't have an iPhone so I can't give you more details 😅
Nothing. You can just log back in with your nsec. Just delete the app though don’t actually delete your account in settings like #[2] did
Delete the app, not the account.
this actually works - just reinstall one sec and apply to the app u addicted to -
Or buy the full app 😆
Your nsec
Private key?
Yes, it starts with “nsec…”
Perfect.
Saved.
Thank you.
How do I find my paid relays when I return?
No idea 😅😭 jot them down 😂 ? I read somewhere that some Nostr clients can save your relay list.
This is saved on your profile and gets load after you login with your private key.
In fact (assuming your relays don't die) your private key is everything you need. If you want to play safe, run a local relay and use backup all your notes
Enter your keys
If I am not mistaken you have to first save your public key at Bitwarden. So any chance of deleting it you can re download and recover..
Your reply reeks of scam even though you said public key.
Not sure what your angle is but you’re completely wrong.
That’s how I save mine. I am also in Damus. If you have better option please share.
Pen, pencil
Notepad and copy paste. Not the least bit complicated.
You don’t write to avoid missing a character but make sure you copied the complete address
Download Bitwarden then copy and paste your public key at the note option! Just try. It’s not a scam. You can save all your notes.
You must be aware of Bitwarden. By the way I am using an Iphone but can also be downloaded to any android.
Hello fren. Sorry for the wrong info. Instead of public key save your “private key” in your Bitwarden wallet. All your important notes can be saved.
Yo, just wanted to chime in here, best practice would be to never store your private keys in a password manager. ✌️
Pen & paper is great, metal etching is better!
💯
Never store your private key in a password manager
I wonder if it gets saved in an iPhone backup? 🤔
It does! Even with 1Password which is imo the best. They auto backup to iCloud. On top of that, outside of 1Pass, uncertain how other pw managers store their data. Iirc there was a recent issue with a LastPass breach where apparently they had passwords stored in plain text lol.
If you aren't going to stay away for like, years, just store your private key somewhere safe. And it should be ok...
