For real!

πŸ˜‚

My animal babies are my family, you can’t convince me otherwise. πŸ˜ŒπŸ‰πŸˆ

I get the saying. I have felt my pets are family too! I love them! But literally they are not.

"This is my son Ralph" Um, no. Ralf is a cat. πŸ˜‚

I'm surprised my wife isn't here going all Karen about her plants.

This. And your pets are not babies.

The fur baby term is so cringe. Nothing remotely close to a baby. πŸ˜‚

Completely disagree. Dogs are a part of family. This is why it’s so tragic when they pass, get lost, or sick. There’s levels to it though. A dog is not your son, agreed. I just think that is said as more of a joke.

That is friendship and love.

Naw dude, that’s my fam. I don’t live with my wife and some friends πŸ˜‚

I get it man. They feel like family. So do my pets πŸ’―. Theres nothing wrong with feeling that bond and considering them as part of the family. But im talking literally. So they are not family. Obviously. πŸ˜…

People confusing family with kinship.

I was actually going to mention kinship but when I looked it up it seems to be closer to family so im still not sure. Wiki describes kinship as something humans do. πŸ€”

I think of the term "next of kin". That surely can't be your pet. πŸ˜…

It's fairly similar to family but allows additional inclusion by nature, character, adoption and affinity.
