I did 40 days with just water and 1 black coffee each day, it was great

Biblical!

Yes nothing for the entire day and night for 40 days, I lost 18kg and my arthritis was gone and blood pressure was back to normal among other ailments.

Interesting results. What happened when you returned to your “normal” diet?

I didn’t really return to my normal diet, I made some better choices. After around 18 months I had put on around 10kg and stayed there until I recently moved to Japan and I’m now losing weight without doing anything except eating a 100% Japanese diet, except I don’t eat Tofu.

Better choices are key. Well done. Sounds like great progress!

You must have had a lot more fat reserves back then.

I'm pretty sure I did 7 days once a good while ago. It really didn't feel good but fasting is largely psychological difficult rather than physical. That one was mentally quite hard for me. I was a different person back then but it left me with such a negative feeling about fasting longer than 3 days.

Might be due for another fast soon.
