The key to a healthy society is the freedom to do better.

The freedom from being forced to support things that you know to be wrong.

This freedom produces a multi-threaded society (many people can try different things) which allows the best ideas to out compete the worst.

It produces a robust ecosystem that can adjust & adapt quickly to uncertain situations & events. It is often very difficult to tell right from wrong, especially in unique or novel situations. It is ONLY real world application of our ideas that can truly determine right from wrong. A multi-threaded approach produces many answers. A single threaded appraoch, where everyone is forced to do the same thing, produces a single answer & if that answer is wrong everyone suffers. It could theoretically even destroy the human race entirely. A single threaded society is necessarily hyper fragile.

The multi-threaded nature of a healthy society vs single threaded conditions that lead to collapse are illustraded by everything from the Babylon story, to diversity vs monocultures in animal & plant life, to the collapse of every authoritarian communist regime ever. It's this same lack of diversity in ideas, the same forced collectivization, & the destruction of individual rights, that is causing our society to crumble today

This sounds like social cultural evolution.

I mean, yeah thats basically the whole point of free market capitalism in the first place

Given enough time, evolution always chooses the best solution through natural selection. The key is allowing the unfit and the weak to die before they procreate or propagate. Organisms or ideas or social constructs. Same concept.

Yeah, but it's up to us to create the right environment for good ideas to propagate. Parasitic people don't care about the best ideas, they want more now at your expense & the expense of the future & anything else they can cheat. We have to secure property rights, & free speech, & personal defense, before the competition of ideas can be made stable enough to produce REAL fruit.

Tho it is all kinda happening simultaneously. Sort of emerging from the chaos

I like to call it the Creative Chaos of Capitalism... If we decertified the Federal Reserve Bank, and took away their ability to print/counterfeit our money when ever a politician wants to spend money they don't have, our world would immediately turn for the better.

Spot on. Monoculture invites disaster.

But Jeff, did you get this definition of diversity approved by the corporate's DEI&B department (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging)?

You know, it might be perceived as intolerant , fascist and a threat to our democratic society if you're not willing to follow their guidance on what diversity and tolerance aCtUaLlY mean.

Just imagine where we would end up if we allow all people to have their own diverse definitions of the diversity. That could very well end up with people thinking they can have their own opinions about what's good vs bad. And that could lead to conflicts of these ideas. Ah, that would be so very undemocratic, Jeff.

So "please", obey with our supreme definitions.

- Signed, your 🤡 friends from the DEIB+ department.

I definitely aspire to be a significant threat to democracy everywhere
