Donald Trump just threw down a $3.2 billion ultimatum: #Jordan and #Egypt must take #Gaza ’s Palestinians or lose U.S. aid. His plan? Strip Palestinians of their homeland forever and rebrand Gaza as an Israeli American real estate.

Jordan, already hosting 2M+ Palestinian refugees, refuses. Egypt warns it’s a security nightmare. Europe is disgusted. The world see this as forced displacement—an absolute coercion.

Trump claims to be the master of the art of making deals, but surely the last month his only tactic is making threats; many of which are empty.

If I were Egypt's or Jordan's leadership I'd call the bluff and continue to refuse. That's the better long term strategy for Israel anyway. If they accept more Palestinians, the likelihood of the continuation of the ruling regimes become lower, which, in turn, is a long term threat to Isreal. Bad strategy from Trump, really.
