They were talking about the Canaan Avalon Nano3. It’s not really $99; they charge extra for the PSU. And AFAIK those cheap units are back ordered.

Thanks for the info. I'm thinking of getting a bitaxe just to play around with as well. Looking forward to the next generation. I'd like to staple some to the wall in an office we don't use here yet.
We have a pretty break neck release schedule, so there is always a “next generation” around the corner! Hopefully they are cheap enough to dive in whenever you’re ready.
