I was reading the book -What I didn't learn in Harvard Business School- and this is the quote that stood out "in our twenty-odd years in business, 90% of our successes have involved in some way the need for patience, and 90% of our failures have been caused in part by a lack of it."

If I am being honest, in my personal life I feel stagnant and would like to spend money on things of vanity. However, even in my intoxicated mind, I know it wouldn't make me feel satisfied.

To manage this I hit the gym 6days/week, increased my protein intake to 2lbs of ground beef and 12 eggs/day, audio bible in the AM, the Shawn Ryan Show podcast, working about 50-72hrs/week. I haven't trained BJJ since April 12 but looking forward to getting into it when time permits, and I regularly call mentors and peers throughout the week to vent.

What methods do you utilize to handle the discomfort that comes with patience? What would you add/take away from my list?

there's power in stillness

there's power in simply sitting with your feelings

in observing the restlessness and choosing inaction

Idk dude it sounds like you’re crushing it. Maybe work less and do something fun in its place? Again, seems like you’re doing a good job.

Suffering a loss? I’m sorry to hear that. My fiancé lost her dad a couple years ago. He was young, like 61. I really couldn’t do much to help her and she struggled a lot until she found a grief group. Might be worth looking into. Keep up with the self care. You’re doing your best.
