SHA-256 is an essential building block of the internet, no different than TCP.
Even if Satoshi had a background from the IC and even if Bitcoin was the key to a secret plan by the deep state, you have to ask why?
A key feature of bitcoin is its openness and ability to add features as it is needed. If perfect anonymonity is needed at the base layer, we have many proven technologies that make this possible. For not, transparency and simplicity is a key feature. Obscuring it with z-cash style cryptography makes it much harder for the newbie to grasp and trust. That's not to say it will never happen, just not now, and not for a long long time. For now we have lightning and ecash, there we have opportunity for anonymonity and it doesen't have to effect the base 'store of value' layer.
