If Jews were better in money on average, then Israel would have been much much richer, don't you think?
I think Jews tend to be autistically obsessive when they believe in something. There was always an easy way out to convert to Christianity or Islam (or Socialist Atheism), so the people who remained Jewish have gone through this filtering process.
And believing that you are right and everybody else is wrong may make you incredibly rich if that's true. Might turn you to a Mark Zuckerberg kind of guys that won't sell their share for $50M because you believe it can go higher. But when the opposite happens, and you're wrong when others are right...
Anyways, those guys obsessed with money go to where the money is: America. They barely even visit here, and nowadays unfortunately it's very liberal and hip among young American Jews to virtue-signal against Israel, and have #RacismOfLowExpectations for our neighbors.

I wonder how it will play out for future generations.

I mean the state building process that was done in Israel is a good example of how well they were with money but trade in general too. Not to speak of the huge amount of logistics that were needed to get everything and everyone there. And of course I did not mean to say "Jews are always better with finances" but historically, as stated in another reply, they where forced into financial sector which gave them the "benefit of experience" back then.
And nowadays a human only needs to send money abroad to earn there. No need to physically change location.
