Starting to use my wireguard relay to sync stuff like todo.txt notes. Actually makes a lot of sense to use relays for backing up and syncing notes between machines.

Could then build a note taking app on nostr 🤔

Fork standard notes! It’s an incredible open-source iOS project.

Notes on Nostr? Nah it'll never work

That would be cool but I use Obsidian + Syncthing and I can't imagine anything being better tbh

Obsidian looks great

Probably overkill for me. Im happy with a small text file of 1-6 items for my todo list

👀

Look at Joplin ... Has a container deployment for your own server. I wish I had skills to deploy for umbrel or start9

I used Joplin in the past, but the sync got a bit too buggy for me

Also experimented with this, in a noob way, a long time ago:

https://github.com/f321x/NostrNotes

notes and other stuff.

devs: what if notes were the other stuff. genius.

Pls just sync markdown/txt files in folders. That opens the space to use any of the many editors...

If you just sync files, then you become compatible with literally thousands of open source tools.

I can take a note in Damus on my phone, edit it in obsidian on my laptop, publish it as "long form" on habla...

oh man…

definitely an upgrade from rsync 🤓
