While I do agree with this, I also understand how editing can be abused thanks to nostr:nprofile1qqsrhuxx8l9ex335q7he0f09aej04zpazpl0ne2cgukyawd24mayt8gprfmhxue69uhkcmmrdd3x77pwve5kzar2v9nzucm0d5hszxnhwden5te0wpuhyctdd9jzuenfv96x5ctx9e3k7mf0qydhwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnhv4ehgetjde38gcewvdhk6tc4rdlnm's constant edit attacks over the last few months 🤓😂

I would rather deal with abusers than run the risk of destroying a 1700 dollar laptop, because if developers unwilling to make a common feature a standardized one. Seriously, the risk of losing expensive devices outweighs the risk of editing abuse.

What if edits had versioning and an indicator that made it obvious the post had been edited from the original, and users could toggle between seeing the original and the edited version?

that's how it works on amethyst

How have I not noticed this? LOL!

I have been going to other clients to see what nostr:nprofile1qqsrhuxx8l9ex335q7he0f09aej04zpazpl0ne2cgukyawd24mayt8gprfmhxue69uhkcmmrdd3x77pwve5kzar2v9nzucm0d5hszxnhwden5te0wpuhyctdd9jzuenfv96x5ctx9e3k7mf0qydhwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnhv4ehgetjde38gcewvdhk6tc4rdlnm originally said this whole time when all I had to do was click where it said "edited." 🤦‍♂️

OK, so... why are we worried about being rugpulled by edits when we can easily see what the original said?

If Derek doesn't have a good answer for this he might reply just to waste your time and gaslight you, then mute you, like he did to me over a different topic
