I swear to flying fuck. The ability to edit posts needs to be a standardized feature available across all Nostr clients.

I am fucking sick and tired of going back and trying to fix my mistakes in this clumsy fucking manner.

Oh I found a mistake. Lets delete the entire post. Start all over again. Post it again. Find another mistake. Delete it. Start all over again. This is beyond enraging!

For fucks sake people if that shady main developer over at Amethyst made it possible. Then every client should be able to do this gracefully. I know I am not the only one here on Nostr who has this problem.

I would rather deal with abusers than run the risk of destroying a 1700 dollar laptop, because if developers unwilling to make a common feature a standardized one. Seriously, the risk of losing expensive devices outweighs the risk of editing abuse.

What if edits had versioning and an indicator that made it obvious the post had been edited from the original, and users could toggle between seeing the original and the edited version?
