I definitely agree. It would help keep peeps more private but still connected. Would be a lot of work though and we would have to find a way to combat possible spam attacks with the feature.
Could we create a way to post using temporary Nostr keys, derived from the main key, so that:
- The main key stays "private".
- But all people in my web of trust can still tell the post came from someone they follow/trust.
-Nobody can know which account it exactly is.
I would see it like a guest pass that proves you're in the group, but doesn't show which member you are.
Optional rules like "only visible if someone follows 21+ accounts with overlap" could make it harder for bots to abuse/dox.
Use cases:
- Ask my web of trust about BTC rentals in city XYZ without telling whole world my travel plans
- Find people that maybe live close by and are interested to buy/sell BTC for cash.
- Find out if people from your web of trust maybe live in your are so you can connect irl.
Is it possible to build something like this? Maybe nostr:nprofile1qythwumn8ghj7ct5d3shxtnwdaehgu3wd3skuep0qyt8wumn8ghj7etyv4hzumn0wd68ytnvv9hxgtcqyzpanxdpfp39c0fthqv67vrycrm2ztta4z8k3vkxjgsl8f6xzuw3jddlvze knows?
I hope the main idea is clear - if not, please comment.
