Games have a concept of "incremental discovery. Where higher level of complexity is revealed over time. I wish social profiles had a concept like this, where I have normie posts on my main feed, but I also have obscure posts that I don't want others to see unless they dig more into subtopics I post, a kind of

"subprofile". I have lots of posts on linux I would like to post but I know most of my follows might not care for it. It would be nice if you could go to someones profile and subscribe to their “subfeeds”.

Facets of a persona. My mother tongue is German but I never write German as most would be irritated. Should I maintain a secondary account? And one for my hobby and one for my job and one for my favorite music ... ?

AI will fix this soon and translate, summarize or mute stuff on the receivers' end.

Its to reduce noise for people who want to follow you for a specific topic

I understand. And you are self-censoring in order to provide your followers a better experience by sticking to what you think they follow you for.

An AI could guess that and filter, translate or re-word posts.

So say I follow you because of Damus and never interact with any of your "gm" posts. My personal AI could hide the latter and summarize your longer posts on non-Damus topics and provide a button to read the original. My client could put your feed in the shape best suited for me. Once all use such tech, you could stop self-censoring.
