It's going to be difficult for Americans to compete with cheap energy in Africa and South America. Unless you have access to stranded energy which is basically free.

I really need to find some stranded energy!

NuScale in Oregon and Rolls Royce both working on SMR reactors that are much lower cost to build, and can produce up to 1000mw of energy. Could change the game on cheap energy that can be built on site anywhere. (About 15 by 30 foot)

Most likely though any energy in the U.S. will be owned by the gov (U.S. army core of engineers) or have so much red tape and fees to deter usage.

That sounds interesting, that footprint is tiny! Pretty cool, I'll look more in. Really fun to learn about all of this energy production stuff.

I know I love it! China's belt and road inititive energy projects are inventing some crazy stuff too
