People generally do not like to see others succeed - even their friends. They may say they do and act like they do but they get envious and distant once you succeed.

There are very few people who actually want to see you win and they are usually people who have already made it or are going through a similar thing and know what you’re going through.

I think a lot of that comes from their own inability to accomplish anything out of their own lack of drive.

I suppose the moral of the story is don’t waste your energy on people who are not kicking ass daily to further themselves in their goals.

Celebrating the success of others is fucking awesome 🧡

I think you need to find better friends

Maybe open your eyes 👀

💯but that is life! It’s the tall poppy syndrome, where they like to tear you down!

Yea ! Fuck Satoshi Nakamoto!

This is good advice and is something I've noticed in my own life. I've stopped reaching out to people who are going nowhere. I've stopped trying to save those who don't put any effort into saving themselves. I no longer waste time worrying about the criticisms of people who aren't even where I want to be.

My life has significantly improved.

I mostly agree with you.

I would like to add an exception:

Never give up on family and best friends.

When someone is depressed for example, they might not be making progress, but spending energy trying to help them is not necessarily 'wasted', and can make the difference for them.

Sure. I’m talking about their long term outlook without obvious signs of depression.

so you mean just "lazy bastards"?

Yes ofcourse!

I love the empathy in this reply. And I agree with you both. I’ve lost friends due to envy, and that is super hurtful. I definitely don’t want to betray myself and my own power just to make them more comfortable though. Better to let them go with no hard feelings on my side. GM! 🌞

Very True ⚡️

FIND AND SPEND MORE TIME AROUND THE PEOPLE IN YOUR WORLD WHO ARE GENUINELY POSITIVE. THAT WHOLE THING ABOUT “YOU ARE THE PRODUCT OF THE 5 PEOPLE YOU SPEND THE MOST TIME WITH” IS VERY REAL.

Always a pleasure reading your notes , wise words my friend ! Peace 🧡💜

Also sad to see the continued decay of the social fabric in real time.

At the same time, It's hard to argue with the points made.

It's just the new normal of our time.

You are the average of all your friends.

Truth. If people are succeeding doing good— why wouldn’t you root for and be happy for them? What does it say about your roots and the energy rooting for yourself.

Some new to success can be dicks though

Spot on! It's true that genuine support can be rare. At DeepOnion, we're all about fostering a community that uplifts and empowers each other. Surrounding ourselves with motivated individuals is so important. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 🧅

This is sad and I've never understood it. If we help elevate each other it's the actual method of a rising tide. I'm okay if you're more successful than me because you probably have a different definition of success based off who you are and where you are in life. I would rather people help each other and try to keep the State from succeeding in dividing and trying to rule over us.

Amen 🙏

people suck 🍻🏴‍☠️
