PSA the arrow of time is undefined because all physical laws are symmetric in time
Discussion
You could be moving backwards without noticing. Take care anon 🫂.
You would notice if suddenly your omelettes transformed back to whole eggs.
It's not defined in terms of laws of physics, but it *is* defined in terms of low entropy initial conditions.
(and maybe there's some law of nature we don't fully understand yet that requires such initial conditions)
Using /delta S > 0 as a definition of the direction of time is like saying AI can't replace humans because we have real creativity 🤣
If it wasn't for entropy allowing us to remember the past, and for evolution to work, what use would the arrow of time concept even have?
If an arrow of time hits a tree in a forest, is the AI industry no longer a scam?
You heard it here first, folks. Yes, you can go back and CPU mine bitcoin back in 2009.
Bitcoin is digitally energy so hashes are digital entropy, good luck 🤞 (ducks)
I think there was some finding suggesting maybe not all. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/CPT_symmetry#Derivation_of_the_CPT_theorem
