The reasonable response/solution to this is to enforce the law fully against violent criminals and reserve compassion/rehabilitation only for non violent offenses.

For instance if you think it’s a good idea to stick a gun in someone’s face and rob them of their property, have fun in prison, because you just forfit your life.

We need to be way harsher on violent crime.

This dude should have never been let out of jail after committing armed robbery.
