There are some shitcoiners who are real salty pieces of shit over #Lightning.

It works. It's decentralized. It has made #Bitcoin transactions instant & more privacy friendly. It has improved the ability to scale #Bitcoin by like 100x. You can move seemlessly between wallets prioritizing soverignty or convenience. It is being used to improve access to sidechains & other scaling solutions. It's a huge win! And it makes their shitcoins completely irrelevant.

Splicing is coming to multiple LSPs & will eventually be the default. That is going to make Lightning's onchain footprint much smaller & more efficient, so get ready for "Lightning is failing" FUD as data may show the number of channels declining (since channel sizes can be edited). Though maybe usage will grow enough in the process (thanks to UX improvments & the coming bull market) that there won't be much to point to. Either way, interesting times & interesting developments 😊

They are already fuding it in an attempt to sell a softfork to make bitcoin great again - we need monero features, or miners are going to have to compete harder for coins in a couple of halvings, we are in danger soonâ„¢! Most people apparently use centralized LN services, it ain't peer 2 peer they say, as if you can force people to self custody their corn.

"Class of 2020" bots and clueless individuals who think miners control the network have all assembled to sell you the next miner funded attempt to change the rules in their favour. The ordinals spam has only made them bolder.

The lightning network was basically non existent before the last halving.

It was such a massive level up for Bitcoin.

Can you imagine what another full cycle will bring? Layer 3 networks?

The craziest part is how cheap it still is to buy a small slice of the base layer & every layer that will ever be built on top of it.

If you adjust for inflation we're basically still at the 2017 peak.

I think lightning improved liquidity of bitcoin by more than 100x. It's >1000x cheaper and 1000-10000x faster.

What about people who openly discuss the obvious fundamental scaling problems lightning has?

Are all of them a bunch of shitcoiners?

Are they making use of Lightning today?

Do they deny the 100x improvement we are seeing?

Were they people who previously claimed Lightning wouldn't work & pushed for big blocks?

Are they FUDing about Bitcoin & Lightning not being able to scale to the entire world while ignoring that Bitcoin + Lightning has achieved far greater scale & security than any shitcoin project & are still being improved?

Do they acknowledge that Lightning can be used to network sidechains & other scaling tech?

It's hard to say who is who without answers to some of these questions.

Let’s ask it differently: are there scaling problems in lightning in your opinion or is it all perfect?

And if there are scaling problems can one talk about them (and even consider alternatives) without being a shitcoiner?
