TIL toilets can get clogged due to plants growing rampant in the pipes. Horrifying sight

lol you asked for it ...

TY ser

I thought you meant down the drain in the toilet bowl. Mixing up with your creations. This is better 😂

Well this was deep in there. Apparently very common (everyone I tell about it is familiar!)

Common everywhere or in your area?

Nice try fed. Jk, think common all around. Additionally learned some stuff from Bill in his reply. Might be more interesting to those who live where basements are common

Lmao I said everywhere or in your area for privacy of course. We already have enough feds in the ⭕️ 🤭

Then again, they seem to be at Langley more than half the time. Not sure if in the ⭕️ is the correct way to put it 🤣

Yes yes, good point. They're some sort of sleeper fed cell, who activate at ATH apparently. Likely to try to slow the progress of the movement and suppress the price

Simps for Saylor as well 🤭

Saylor, the rich guy who likes to sail boats... , writes a book called the Mobile WAVE... sounds like a cover if I ever heard one.

He makes total sense as a fed tbh

Saw you were posting about him recently, on that terrible custody take of his.

Do you remember how he came outta nowhere in 2020 fully pleb/orange pilled? Talking of cyber hornets and saying all the right things? He changed

I guess he was reading up on Bitcoin and buying and getting excited. Then realized he could make a bank 🙄

Side note- how do you find these posts when you seem to follow nobody?

I've been developing my own algorithmic nostr feeds

Interesting. Thought you were a bot maybe yesterday, but clearly not!

not a bot! but I like to chat in short messages

cool and mysterious. Followed

I'll see you in the Forest 🤙🏼

Yessir, had a hunch haha

I was always curious captain, what’s in the algo? I think there’s a bit of GMs in there. What else?

a little bit of everything, really. are you interested in how the algorithm works?

Was just browsing nostrudel to see who has me muted, and was surprised to see Captain muted me. Must be a bug, surely!

👀

I catch a stray mute sometimes, for wrong-engagement 🤷‍♂️

mutes are potentially a powerful signal for feed algos on nostr because almost everyone has a mute list and a follow list. that's why I'm focusing on those for now, putting my work with named people sets on hold

Is it subject based? Or does it attribute points to certain type of notes?

it just tallies up points, and points come from interactions within your network

Ah so a like, a zap or a comment gets a point?

I have avoided loading zap receipts to simplify developing my prototypes. reactions, reposts, quote posts, and replies get a point

And what’s the threshold for the note to show up on your feed? Is there a minimum amount of points?

that's adjustable, but it can be as low as one, and that still filters down what you would normally see in a relay's global feed

Do you find you u see more positive interactions? ie npubs being nice to each other or not really?

well, I've only been using it in The Forest relay, which is a pretty friendly place, but I would imagine that this algo would not suppress outrage

The forest, isn’t that laesarin’s relay? So you can use your algo on someone else’s relay?

this algo is meant to improve on Jumble's single relay feed. I've been pointing it to her relay

Never tried jumble. I imagine it’s one of the rare clients that has custom algos

it's a client customized to work with algo relays, but what I'm trying to do is customize Jumble to include a client side algo

Interesting

I can't believe you never used the best nostr client: jumble.social.

Willow roots can "seek out" water, including water in pipes, travel a long distance to get to them, then infiltrate to get the water.

Interesting. Seems some plants' roots are more adept at sensing moisture and aggressively moving towards it (did some quick gpt). I couldn't believe the size of it

Been there, homie

Praying for you 🙏

Shocking but feels cleansing that it's gone

This is why random basement toilets used to be a thing. They weren't for pooping in the wide open of your basement. They were for easy access to clean plant roots out of your main from right where it came into your house.

Arguably they came with a bonus that if there was an issue with your main it flooded your basement instead of your upstairs because it was the lowest opening in your plumbing. I say arguably because if you don't go into your basement often you might not notice everything you are flushing is going onto your basement floor for a while.

Wow, had no clue. It's apparently not that uncommon, which makes me feel less gross about it.

Thank goodness there was no flooding or messes involved. See replies for gross picture of the blockage
