Two days ago was the 10th anniversary of my laptop. It's been running Arch #Linux since November 2014. I did replace the battery, the display and the keyboard (water spill). I still use it as one of my main computers for all kinds of creative work. It's been great that no one created slower and slower versions of the OS to force me to upgrade :-)

is it heavy to maintain? do you spend much time with issues on your packages? I was considering moving away from ubuntu and read a few of arch's docs. but it did felt like something that could easily break after an upgrade and I don't have the time for linux being a hobby right now.

Haven't had Arch break for me for 4 years now (last time I did a clean install).

Usually it'll only break if you do something to break it.

Also, Arch wiki is one of the best resources to keep at hand for anything Linux (many times relevant for other distros too).

Use Manjaro

wouldn't it be the same as ubuntu with the extra packages?

archlinux, instant follow 🦍
