Yes, I’d actually prefer everyone have guns registered to them, but when the regulations make it impossible I suppose printing is the option. I think registration doesn’t necessarily weaken 2A and brings an important use culpability aspect to ownership.
I can see where your coming from there.
What are your thoughts on milita?
I'm not sure a direct copy of the 2A would work in the UK, and I definitely would like to tie ownership with training for the reason you mentioned.
There are pros and cons to both private and state (over here that would be county) mitias.
I think the idea behind militias are solid, however any militia I have actually experienced has been populated by certifiable crazy people doing dangerous things with guns. The anarchist leanings are also thoroughly terrifying.
Buy a sword. Seriously. Any kind of long blade is formidable. What, I’m a collector!
Technically, that word be illegal here. Unless it was on a display stand or part of a martial art.
Make it so, probably no established threshold for proficiency…or just stay helpless, complaining, and afraid. It is illegal to carry concealed where I live, and the gun I carry is illegal where I live. I refuse to be any of the aforementioned things, or watch myself or my family become victims of senseless violence. Legal thresholds dampen impetuous actions, and that is good, but bottom line, stand up for what you see as necessity.
Oh I wasn't saying no, just pointing out the stupidity of my state..
I have on occasion come across the odd bit of steel with a sharp edge 😉😪
Good to hear, we have to draw the line somewhere. Bring back the guillotine!
You don't buy weapons you buy antiques that just happen to be weapons, they are exempt and they are always better made and hold thier value so you should be buying them in the first place. I own antique warclubs, swordsticks and once money allows it again will be buying a really nice katana again.
I saw a Japanese weapon that was made illegal here recently that looks almost the same as my rice knife but with a flat blade. Persumably my gardening rice knife is still exempt?...Makes you wonder if they will be trying to outlaw a pointed stick or a broken glass bottle before addressing the social issues they have in certain London neighbourhoods.
The advantage of being a gardener is access to garden tools.. 😁
But it's definitely easier for the ruling class to ban things rather than solve issues. Makes the people think they are doing something so they feel safe.
Until they aren't...😢
