This is a sad note:

Because if you really don't have a reason to follow someone specifically and you only want to see a ton of content to filter out later then you should really just be browsing some nice relays.

All my homies hate nip-02

Google+ gave us a glimpse of user autonomy in relation to follow sets and groups

How were things done in Google+?

The full name was Google+ Circles. You got to add friends to "circles" (see: sets) which meant custom feed citation based on the users within. I believe the user could elect to include these groups in global or not. It wasn't crazy complex or anything but it worked just fine.

curation* not citation

Sorry, I had forgotten about that.

Now I've set up some GitHub auto-publishing magic and added nostr:npub1w9llyw8c3qnn7h27u3msjlet8xyjz5phdycr5rz335r2j5hj5a0qvs3tur as a contributor to the repository so you don't depend on me anymore.

thank you!

I've been using damus in this mode since I joined nostr. browsing global and filtering by relays. I stopped following people when clients would just nuke your list for whatever

Sir, I am new here I literally did not know this.

There is definitely a learning curve.

Well you called him sir, thats a start. Don't mind the jungle spirit, he is there performing meta-reflections. You are a mere example to get a point across to the (developer) community as such.

Point being, its not (just) you on the learning curve, everyone is there with you.

Yeah, I'm waiting for more topic-based relays to pop up. Too lazy to start my own and afraid no one will show up cause I'm not a certified Nostr vibe-coder.

Any other way is a recipe for complete garbage, mashed together and not a very efficient or organized way to engage with others or search for an interest area. Community/topic relays will win in the end!

As soon as vitor adds relay feeds...
