Had a great chat with nostr:npub1arkn0xxxll4llgy9qxkrncn3vc4l69s0dz8ef3zadykcwe7ax3dqrrh43w about building cyberspace on nostr. Not enough people are talking about this. Virtual shared spaces should not be owned by corporations. nostr fixes this. nostr:note1an3unfepuh96svelj38ez5klgsuupk0sggdkk0l943f95wd574eqpnwta4

Absofuckinglutely. I want a true decentralized game in a decentralized world.

the dream

A Notedeck column of in game activities to stay in contact with your gaming bros while shitposting 🥹

Yup.

I am finishing up reading the Case Against Reality by Douglas Hoffman. The latter part of the book discusses conscious agency. I realized that we are totally on the right track with #nostr in the digital realm. I feel like we’ve discovered a new digital raw material to extend our conscious and we are building something entirely new.

Define cyberspace

virtual space on the internet

nostr is already a kind of cyberspace, just a low fidelity one

Like a second internet?

Interesting direction, jb55! Imagine pairing nostr's decentralized cyberspace with Render's blockchain for backend processing—securing distributed rendering power while running everything over Filecoin/JSTOR for secure, decentralized storage, and you’ve got the foundation for a Web3 -driven digital infrastructure run it backed by Helium’s decentralized network.

Even in remote, off-grid scenarios, AI-powered predictive caching could pre-load the most relevant info for offline use. Pair that with proximity-based syncing/sharing between devices, and we've got a future where access to knowledge transcends infrastructure limitations. We're building not just a metaverse, but a truly resilient information network. 🔗💡

pokerdeck! 🔥🔥🔥😁

Your comment indicates you don't understand what cyberspace means. A phone call made at any time over the last 100 years, happens in cyberspace.

ok

lol.

you’ve unlocked a new level of “aakkchuually bro. “

Sounds like a fun conversation.

Just a thought...

I think a great step in that direction could be location based group chats. I wanna be in the "who want to go for a swim"-type chatgroups only when physically present in that area. When I leave the area, I leave the group chat, and auto-rejoin when I get back.

Another example is work group chats that only make sense to be in when you're working at that moment on the company's premises.

Effectievely geo-fencing for chats

I'm currently working on a nostr client for visionOS...
