It's pretty basic. Let me know if you want other types of shares (into messages and so on)

What does that mean? Can you record a video?

ohh so you want to select the text on Amethyst and share with other apps?

I want to ba able to paste from my clipboard whatever other things I copied. The "paste" only allows to paste the latest copy, the "clipboard" lets you paste even the previous ones.

Like, in windows, there is ctrl+V then there is ctrl+windows+V

Ah. I have that shit disabled. I see that as a security risk having a searchable clipboard history.

I think this requires a clipboard app, doesn't it? Something has to keep all the history saved somewhere.

I don't know where does it come from. Whether it's app feature, os feature, or the hardware keyboard.

But I have clipboard on this device in the other apps.

I have that ability using the keyboard. I'm not sure if all keyboards provide this function, but some do have a clipboard feature that allows you to select any of your copies.

when i was working on improving a widget library some years back one of the things i did was simply make it so you could at minimum click on text and it went into the clipboard... and i made buttons to copy and paste from the clipboard in the text input widgets as well

the text-oriented design of web browsers makes all text selectable, pretty much, and people get used to that

Pay attention to CLIPBOARD plz

yeah, i also made it handle the X secondary buffer correctly too

almost nobody seems to know that it exists

X-Window-System by default you select, it goes into a buffer, i think technically it's the primary

use menu or Ctrl-C and it copies to the secondary buffer

press the middle mouse button and it pastes the PRIMARY buffer at the mouse location

has been a fixture of X since the late 80s but windows retarded menus and mac retarded menus and the QWERTY layout make it easy to do one handed on the left side but i've been a dvorak since 2004 and those zxcv keys are all over the place mostly on the right side of the keyboard
