How do you season/marinate your steak? blz tips.

I tried peper/salt yesterday and was not able to enjoy it. Thinking about either going w a mix w cumin or go more asian inspired. I have a cabinet full w diff seasoning, some fresh herbs and refrigerated oister sauce.. but idk. Dont usually eat steak. More a fish/chicken enjoyer. Halp.

By dragging it across the grill.

just plain steak

i cant J, i tried.. i really did 😂

Depends on the cut, but a soya sauce based marinade is always a solid choice.

entrecote

You dip it in honey & chimichurri

But you only cook it in salt & pepper

I use chimichurri with extra salt for some cuts. Mostly just s&p though.

Or make them plain and make a sauce. Peppercorn is easy and good. Or bernaise for tenderloins is great.

Ad some rosemary and garlic, together with salt and pepper. Let it stay like that at room temperature for 30-60m, then proceed grilling. Once done to a medium rare (3-5m each side) let it stay for 5-10 mean! Eat! 🐶🐾🫡

Salt. Rosemary. Thyme. Butter (grass-fed if you can afford)

Take steaks out of refrigerator 30min before hand. Get them closer to room temp. While they are sitting, Salt them heavily on top and bottom.

Preheat oven to 400°.

Bring a pan (cast iron or steel, ideally) up to about 3/4 of burner strength.

Sear each side of each steak in the stupid god damn hot fucking butter. That shit will burn you if it gets you (it is trying to get you). Make sure you get a nice brown sear on the steak on all sides, and the fat cap(s) are rendered down.

Place pan in oven for 7ish minutes for a store-bough steak.

Remove from oven. Let rest on plate for a few minutes.

Fin.

P.S. You were also very smart, and put Russet potatoes in the oven when you started preheating the oven when the steaks were getting to room temperature.

You smothered them in butter and salt.

Here's the best marinade I've ever had for one steak (do for both sides):

Teaspoon Montreal Seasoning

Teaspoon brown sugar

Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper

Marinate for 24 hours

You're welcome

ooh i dont have all that

might try once tho

thank you

In Brazil, garlic is our religion.

I’m vegetarian but I remember my mom using the fork to “stab” all over the steak, so the taste would go inside too. Garlic and salt when is still raw.

You can also frie onion and put along with it, depending on the meat.

we love garlic 💯

thanks for that tip, will apply

Cook the garlic with the potatoes same style. Throw white onion chunks if you're feeling adventurous.

THE BUTTER IS TRYING TO GET ME

you weren't lying

Yeah. The trick, William Potter, is not minding that it hurts.

I personally can’t have without a honest chunk of garlic powder

Salt only maximalist here

Try just salt and pepper for cooking (i also like some granulated garlic and cayenne pepper) but when you eat it have fresh pineapple, and include with each bite of steak a little pineapple

You will puddle here™️

that sounds like pineapple on pizza

me and my homies dont like p on p

might try tho, thank hue steven™ 🍍

Does steak = pizza?????

🚫🤣

well, no. but yes.

✌️😁

alright then✌️😂

I do just salt and pepper, every time.

i couldn't enjoy that, personally

but it might have been bc of the cut

im never getting sirloin again

entrecote maximalist rn
