Anybody on #Nostr been experimenting with hangs?

I want to max my active hang next time I’m at the gym. I got a minute the other day and think I can make 1:30 if I push myself. Just found out about hangs. #fitstr

Hangs, what's that? Just hanging on a bar?

Yes. An active hang is hanging from a bar (overhand grip) but engaging your arms, shoulders and back. It’s suppose to help correct / maintain posture, improve shoulder health and grip strength.

I've been hanging on this, but that's awful tricky thing. Few seconds without locked wrists in a knot and I'm down. Anyway that stretched shoulder feel is awesome. Thanks for the tip, I'll start with bar too - it's a good start for pushups anyway.

Nice! Yeah try a bar feels great

Nah, I'm already hung. 😁

Really great for the back and shoulders. Nice passive work out. I usually do just a handful of 30 second sets to open my back and increase my grip strength. It can also help people with hunch back to start reversing the deformation.

+1 to all of that. It’s one of my warm ups but naturally after a couple weeks of shorter hangs I want to see how long I can go at max just for fun. I’d be pumped to hit 130 it’s not as easy as it seems at first thought

Yes, I’ve been practicing and got 3:15 recently.

Look up the rogue cliffhanger challenge. Some dude hangs for 60+ mins. It’s insane.

Note - I had hockey tape on the bar tho

And the guys hang was 20 mins, not 60 my bad

That is still insane.

Nice, I maxed at 1:40 a couple days ago. Tape might help but doubtful I could hit 3:15 even with it. That is beast 💪
