stablecoin on bitcoin.
net-positive or net-negative? why?
I'm conflicted.
It can be good because it will drive interest, innovation, and capital to Bitcoin and to lightning.
But it can be bad because it may hinder full Bitcoin adoption. And it's basically a shit coin on Bitcoin.
Somehow. We are going to be able to send Bitcoin or tether transactions on chain now and lightning.
Tether has already existed on Bitcoin for many years via the Omni protocol. Putting it on Lightning is not really new but more of an upgrade.
I'm not sure how it will work but if we can quickly exchange it into Bitcoin on the lightning network than it will help make Bitcoin stronger.
If i ran a business I would accept all the shitcoins and quickly exchange them into Bitcoin.
Eventually all the shitcoins will disappear. Accepting the shitcoins and exchanging them into Bitcoin helps Bitcoin succeed.
Who is paying the development of tether into the lightning network? Is it tether themselves? Where do they get the money for this development? How are they so rich? I suspect it's for money laundering.
Either way. Bitcoin wins in the end. Tether will eventually disappear.
