I have been heading to the opposite direction, so you are free to ignore my comments⦠But I donāt think you can really convert fat into muscle. The reason why bodybuilders bulk between competitions is this: itās easier to build muscle when you are not ātoo carefulā with calories. They burn the fat before the competition. You have been building muscle and burning fat. And thatās very cool.

Fat and muscle are two completely different tissues. One doesnāt āconvertā into the other, but both can change at the same time:
With the right training stimulus (progressive overload, enough intensity), your body builds muscle mass.
With a proper diet (caloric balance, protein intake) and activity, your body uses fats and energy source.
Thatās why in 5 months you can look leaner and more muscular even with almost the same body weight... you lost fat and gained muscle simultaneously.
So yes, fat canāt āturn intoā muscle, but you can replace fat on your body with newly built muscle, which is what clearly happened here. šŖš„
