Does anyone use Proton Mail for their business? I used Google for domain hosting and email for my business and they've gone up significantly on their prices for what I need it for. So, I'm looking at Proton. It's less expensive and I would prefer to support a company over Google anyways.

Yeah, I've linked my domain to my proton account and it works great once you set all the DNS entries right and wait for them to propagate. All of my work emails go through proton.

Is that difficult to do? I'm fairly certain my dog has more technical savvy than I do

There are a lot of off-putting acronyms, but the process itself involves copy and pasting things from proton to your domain's DNS records and waiting for green check marks to appear.

I do. The one thing I hate is that you cannot separate by email address on mobile and to do so on desktop requires using a bridge. Otherwise if you have multiple email addresses all emails are compiled into a single inbox

I filter all emails to my work address into a separate folder in the settings. That way, all of my personal emails are in the inbox and work emails are in a Work folder.

I'm going to see about getting this going this weekend. Google just raised rates, and so now it's an even stronger value proposition to move over.

I had to transfer all of my emails from Gmail to proton when I switched my personal email. You might want to do that too. I don't know how good the transfer is, but it was mostly just old emails I was never going to look at anyway. I guess you could just save the important ones as pdfs and start fresh in proton too.

Good luck with the move! You can dm or tag me if you run into issues.

Thank you for this because I need to do it for my business too!
