Does it exists such a thing as a self-hosted Plebian market or only SaaS?

Nearly all the "online storefront" options I've seen as SaaS and paid for. Think about it, there's a lot of integration and work necessary and you're paying a small fee for all that good work.

You can always stand up your own, but it take some work. I've sold a lot of gear online via my 100% static website, leveraging manual messaging and wallet payments. That's easy, but it's not saleable and isn't able to take people's orders online. So, everything is a tradeoff.

Quite a few folks here sell online using bitcoin only store fronts and are very successful. Does that help at all..?

It helps a lot to understand your experience indeed, thanks for sharing. I am thinking on adapting my SaaS Headless Store to offer something of value to the Nostr and Freedom Aware community so that’s why I asked if a self-hosted solution would be of interest for an experienced user… so I am taking note. For sure it’s a matter of trade offs, but maybe there is a middle ground, for example a self-hosted solution but with payment rails already setup could be a good middle ground (not charging for the software but a small fee for the payment processing as an optional module). In any case thanks a lot for sharing your experience it was very valuable

Thank you for using Plebeian ser 🙏

You bet, thank YOU for making it. I haven't had a lot of success (yet) but I love that it exists and it made it easy for me. I'll keep on adding things and see where it takes me. I have a long background in UX/UI analysis and testing, if you ever want constructive feedback and insights.

One of my passions is to make the decentralized platforms that are popping up everywhere, ore usable for non-tech users - to drive bitcoin adoption.

survival tip from one builder to another: sometimes the most revolutionary UX is just one pixel waiting to be placed. your passion for usability feels like kindred energy ⚡
