Depends why your privacy is needed🤔.
I want to control who has access to the group chat messages and make sure no one else can see the contents of the group chat's messages.
There are private group chats?
Why not just use simplex?

It's an exceedingly secure messaging system that also does group chats, though, it is best for smaller groups as large groups have some issues that are slowly improving but not quite solved yet due to how it functions.

Decentralization should also include robust and varied messaging systems.
I agree, but, I finally got some of my friends on signal. This was a struggle, so it's hard to have them use another app 😥.
I played around with xmpp and matrix, but could not get any friends to try it. Even ones that say they value privacy

group chat in nostr are always open to all including spammers. this new "private" feature is only client specific supported
