I think what Ava is attempting to shine light on is the irony that Abrahamic religions were historically, and now obviously creations of humans for “surveillance”. Religion was a tool to conform and control others. If you had a large portion of a society that “believed” a certain doctrine, they would regulate everyone by correcting any behavior observed that does not “fit” those “norms” set forth by the religious doctrines. In essence, religion creates billions of eyes always watching and zealously pointing fingers at those who do not toe the line.
