Just realised now Elon Musk is now giving out payments to his blue ticked large influencers.
The influencers are now incentivised to say lot more crazy stuff to try win clout, increase engagement in comment section and to increase follower count.
Maybe this will lead to X’s own self destruction as the X.com feed becomes unbearable to read through.
Makes you wonder if this is an intentional agent of chaos thing to justify putting the clamps on social media and “anyone just doing what they want” on the Internet.
I haven’t logged into TwitterX since way before the rebranding. Less desire to now.
But how can #Nostr clients compete w/ x.com?
Nostr is a social network as well.
People looking to find or form communities.
People looking for free speech online.
I think it’s likely in several months, Nostr apps will be superior in terms of UX and features than x.com. The only advantage x.com has its the network effect.
There are many content creators looking to earn BTC. If bTC price starts increasing because of halving 2024, it could bring more adoption to nostr as byproduct of number go up.
