It’s hard to justify it unless user gets perks out of it. 🐶🐾🫡

No! I can by pass everything you offer for sats but I will pay 0

Nostr is too small to survive on subs. It's still a baby.

It’s about a small. Even once it’s big and has network effect to make people subscribe you gotta figure out some unique features that other aren’t offering and that people will benefit. Not just a purple check and star to your account. Also in open source environment it’s hard! You implant something that people have to pay and the other client will implement the same thing but you don’t have to pay 🤷‍♂️

*it’s not about small

I dont deny any of this. But it also has to be a certain size to create sustainable businesses. That's due to the fact that only a small % of people generally pay subscriptions etc. There could be some killer app introduced, that makes people want to pay much more, but nothing is on the radar right now.

Definitely. I’m very skeptical about client subscription model. Something good should be offered

what are sustainable business models for clients? do any clients make profits? very curious of how the economy works in a FOSS culture.

There is no business model as of right now !

Nostr is more like a food bank than a business right now

You’re thinking of it like the shit you know /

shouldn’t there be if web3 is to be sustainable?
