Found the first few haskaps of the year. The flavor is not pure sweet , has more complexity, and it’s mild, but not astringent if ripe. Probably would be great in a desert or jelly. I haven’t yet had a glut to test that theory. Good for USDA 6b and further north. Perhaps further south too but it’s typically not considered a warm climate berry. #grownostr #permaculture #gardening #Ohio
