Most people don’t know how to take good photos so a phone upgrade with a nicer camera is not that beneficial. You can take better photos simply by knowing how to, even with an old phone.

That's the biggest truth of photography

Word!

If you feel like you need a new phone try watching old advertisements for the phone you currently have. You get hyped for a product and then realise its already in your pocket.

Works for things other than phones as well.

Yep. Noticed this.

I’ll stick with my old phone that cost 0.15BTC

Ouch 😓

Good thing I got my first second hand iPhone for free from a friend 😂

Guilty 😂 I've improved a lot over the years though. 🤣

It’s surprisingly easy to improve by watching a quick video and practicing.

I’m definitely one of those who a nice camera would be a total waste of money.

🫣 I know... I can be better

All the best, most famous, most outrageously gorgeous photos that you know and love—the world-famous one's, the iconic one's—were shot with old gear.

As someone who couldn’t take a good photo if his life depended on it… yes, this :)

Correct

Moar expensive lens!

Wise words

Nah, this won't be true until cameras get a lot better than they are right now.

Most people don't care about taking "good pictures," they care about creating a visual copy of something that can be used to look at the thing again. That's the basic purpose of a picture and phone cameras aren't very good at it yet. Most people are still waiting to have a phone camera that captures much more detail at a given distance than human eyes, so that it can be used to see about as far as your hands can hold it still enough to see - then having a nicer camera won't be that beneficial for people who don't know much about using it.

you are cringe.
