Putting together my first sample pack of freeze dried food.

Now I just need to sort out a price. I was told to name a price, but need to figure out a reasonable amount.

All I know I would charge less if they pay in BTC.

Do I see Skittles?

And ice cream sandwiches

What's your favorite so far?

And are you eating them like this as a snack or rehydrating first?

I really dig the peaches. Most are eaten as snacks without rehydrating.

Don't forget to calculate the kwh for the machine running!

I'm certainly going to guess on that!

Why guess? You have at least the manufacturer specs for the load (how many watts) and you should know how long it took to dry that stuff. Multiply the hours by the wattage and there's your total. It's better than guessing.

Why do you always make me do work? I just want all the answers given to me.

A freeze-dried candy store just opened here. I'll have to stop by and check their menu and prices.

I don't have any experience in pricing. Going to need to sort that out though.

I want to try one, let us know when you start selling.

That would be amazing. I'm hoping that shipping isn't cost prohibited.

Hit eBay. There’s a boatload of freeze dried stuff for sale there, and I think Etsy. That will give you an idea of price per oz that the market has been able to bear so far. I wanna say freeze dried gummy bears are like $4 an oz or better, or at least were last time I looked.

I knew I could count on you for candy prices.

Only cause I looked reallllllll hard at getting a freeze drier last year, mostly because I wanted to sell the candy at ridiculous profit margins, my wife wanted to freeze dry breast milk as a service and for profit (only one place doing it and they charge an arm and a leg), and my buddy/neighbor was gonna go in on it with us cause he did the math on it vs the prepper food he was buying and saw ridiculous savings. But then we dug a little deeper and realized none of us had the place nor the time at the moment.

Total cost to make or acquire * 2 = typical ballpark price to the next entity (distributor, customer, etc)

That equation doesn't work for every industry, but it's common for most.

Thanks. I appreciate the information.
