I have the lodge brand cast steel. They are fantastic and I love them. I gave up cast iron die to the weight and my joints cannot handle them anymore. I have had the cast steel for many many years now.

I used cast iron for years, got the lodge carbon steel pan a couple years ago and it’s a game changer. It’s all I use now when I need a pan. I’d recommend the one with the silicone grip. I treat it just like cast iron. It never sees soap.

Matfer is my go to pan. Mostly switched from cast. I still have them and use them but I reach for the carbon steel 90% of the time
