I haven't used ledger in over a year, but I still had my device which I destroyed today and won't be using them again.

Several times in my life I've had all of my wealth wiped out, and I've been homeless a few times for several months.

Being a bitcoiner to me isn't about wealth, it's about knowledge and wisdom. You can be a bitcoiner and own zero sats because what makes a bitcoiner is having your mind free from fiat prison.

A wise man with zero sats is worth far more than a fool with billions of them.

It's never too late to start restacking, your wealth is in your knowledge and understanding. It's in your courage and conviction. You will regain your material wealth in time.

Hodl strong my friends, the ride will be tough, filled with hacks, confiscation, laws, and every other obstacle, but we will never go back to fiat prison again.

The conviction is strong here, and terrifying. So long ledger, hello not-sure-yet-but-something-more-secure.

I would say bitbox02, cold card, then jade as the best hardware options.

Thanks! I’m working with a jade, or should I’d say ‘I’m trying to get it to work with me’… my order of wallets to try is reverse to what you listed, but I would like to try them all.

Good idea, they are all good products, lmk if I can help in anyway.

ty!

I just put an order in for 2 Coldcard's from CoinKite. I also have a couple of Trezor Model T's which I have enjoyed. The Model T has a touch screen so its more expensive that the other Trezor models. I have the Trezor Model 1 as well but don't use it very much.

CC and jade seem to be a standard higher in my mind than ledger or trezor… although I’ve never used a trezor, so I could be inaccurate in my assumptions. Security mostly is what I’m referring to.

I agree, jade, CC, and bitbox i believe have a higher standard, but also a higher price point. I'm also not very familiar with Trezor, but have heard some concerns from users and the lower price point makes me nervous.

$179 for the Trezor Model T isn’t exactly cheap.

It’s also important to know if you’re looking for a BTC exclusive wallet or a wallet that offers more diversification. Coldcard, Jade, Bitbox are exclusively BTC while Trezor has more options for more types of token uses.

I prefer BTC only now, so it’s nice to have a few options to choose from for that.

Then my recommendation would be the Coldcard by CoinKite. You can follow nostr:npub1az9xj85cmxv8e9j9y80lvqp97crsqdu2fpu3srwthd99qfu9qsgstam8y8 here on nostr if you haven't already. He is very active here on nostr and he is the CEO of CoinKite, the company the makes the Coldcard.

Thanks m! I sure hope to try one, one day!
