I really need some advice. We are looking at putting in an above ground pool. The best spot for us is under a bit leaf maple tree.

How dumb an idea is this?

Question number 1 needs to be: how much time do you have available to maintain said pool? Question 2: how much time do you want to spend maintaining it? Question 3: can you afford to automate things to reduce the amount of time required to maintain the pool to a level you are willing to do and WILL do so that you can actually enjoy said pool?

Then I think you’re making the correct choice by moving it out from under the tree. I’d still consider some kind of canopy or something though, it would only help keep the pool clean and shade is always nice
