In my experience, Nostr people don't care about non-Nostr things unless you provide some brutal criticism to trigger them.
For example:
"I've been using Pubky lately, and it is clearly a Nostr-killer, want an invite code?"
This creates the right mix of fomo and curiosity.
Being part of the in-crowd is very important here, so they won't be open-minded until they feel like this is a sinking ship (which it is, so that's the easy part).
Linking an invite code to the nostr user who accepted the invite is a risk for those who want to stay anonymous.

This requires more nuance. The act of receiving an invite code does not deanonymize anything. It associates the two identities, which is something most people would do on purpose.
You could also use ANY identity or nostr key to request the Invite code, right? Including throwaways.

if you need an invite to get in that means they can stop people using it too. idk how duh it can get but ok.
why not just go back to musk's engagement and sponsorship silo, what's the difference?
